intel: How I Used my Intel 2 in 1 For DIY Projects (Sponsored by Intel)

If you follow me on social media, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been actively contributing projects and articles to quite a few websites. These days, freelancing has become such a normal part of my day-to-day, sometimes I forget just how much technology plays a role in planning and creating. My HP Pavilion x360 2 in 1 laptop is one of the most useful devices I’ve owned, thanks to it’s compact size and convertible feature. Here are two major ways that I use my 2 in 1 for creating DIY projects!

(If you’re wondering what makes this laptop a “2 in 1“, it’s all in the screen. The 360-degree hinge lets you push it backwards to use in tent mode, saving some table space in the process. Once it flips back, the digital screen will turn rotate, too. And if you push it all the way back, it can be used as a tablet. The screen will rotate depending on how you’re using it.)

1. Following Tutorial Rough Drafts

Before I actually execute a DIY project, I write out a rough draft of the tutorial, supplies included. This ensures that I photograph everything that needs to be photographed (especially important for the supplies photo) and that I carry out the project in a way that makes sense for the reader. As I make the project, I edit the copy with things like measurements, tips, and important notes. The flexibility of the intel 2 in 1 allows me to prop up the device without it taking up too much space, while the touch screen lets me quickly browse through my notes and inspiration photos.

2. Gathering Inspiration

Technology is amazing when it comes to collecting inspiration and ideas. For me, I want to make sure my digital stash of inspiration is accessible at all times. I use Evernote on a daily basis to store inspiration photos, concepts and drafts. Because the app is always syncing, it’s always updated. When I’m working, I typically tuck my phone away to prevent distraction. But sometimes, when a random thought or idea hits, I want to add it to Evernote asap. This is where my intel 2 in 1 comes in; because it’s so travel-friendly, I can bring it along with me where ever I go and I don’t always need my phone out to access what I need. Perfect for the lady who’s always on the move!
