Here’s a guest post from the wonderful Lana over at Lana Red Studio! We met at a Ted Baker Summer 2013 Preview event back in the Spring. She was interning in New York for a few months, but is actually from Amsterdam. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to catch up again before she went back home, but I’m grateful that I can meet wonderfully talented people from all over the world thanks to being a DIY blogger!
Supplies:
– One shirt that doesn’t raffle when you cut it
– Iron on Strip (from Ikea)
– Glittery fabric that doesn’t raffle when you cut it
– Iron
– Scissors, pen & paper
1. Draw a heart shape on a piece of paper and place it on the shirt. Carefully cut the heart out.
2. Turn the shirt inside out and place it on a flat surface (I used an ironing board, which is that flower print above). Cut small pieces of the Iron-on-strip and place them along the heart shape.
3. Place the glittery fabric over the heart shape, making sure it covers all the iron-on-strip parts.
Use your iron to attach the glitter fabric to the shirt.
Thank you again to the lovely Lana for sharing this project! Don’t forget to stop by her blog here. You can also follow her on Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. Became a fan of her Facebook page, here!
Xo, Kirsten
