In a small bowl, I poured about 1/2 cup honey and 1/2 Sriracha. This is all up to personal preference, though. If you want a super spicy kick, add more Sriracha. If you want it to be sweeter with just a tinge of spiciness, then use more honey! Mix well.
You can add some melted butter and granulated garlic to the sauce, if you’d like.
In a separate bowl, I mixed equal parts flour and seasoned bread crumbs.
I cut one package of extra firm tofu into cubes. Initially, I dipped each cube into the sauce and then into the flour/bread crumbs mixture, but the water from the tofu started to dilute the honey Sriracha sauce. I would recommend using a spoon to drizzle the sauce onto to cubes (rotating and making sure to cover all sides) before breading with flour/crumbs.
I heated olive oil on a pan and fried the breaded tofu. For an even healthier option, you can use coconut oil.
This might be my new go-to appetizer dish. Looks like I know what I’m making at the next dinner party!
