This project has been sitting in the back of my mind for years. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect lamp — a rectangular lucite type of lamp — to decoupage negatives on. Unfortunately, I haven’t had any luck, so I decided to try it out on a lantern. Admittedly, I think I like this concept so much more.

To make this, I simply decoupaged strips of negatives onto the glass windows. I used a 1″ foam brush and a decoupage with a matte finish, out of preference. I had to trim a few of the negatives, length wise, but they snugly fit side by side.

Definitely quite the conversational decor piece. What do you think?
